Visiting New Zealand’s upcoming world-class stadium for sports, entertainment, and community events.
Emmolina recently had the opportunity to visit the highly anticipated Te Kaha project in Christchurch. Valued at $683 million, this landmark development will soon provide state-of-the-art facilities for sports, entertainment, and community events.
Reflecting on the experience, Emmolina shared her excitement: “I’ve never seen a closed-roof stadium until now. It’s incredible to witness the scale and vision of this project firsthand.”
Organized by the Ara Institute of Canterbury in collaboration with BESIX Watpac, the site visit offered a unique glimpse into the engineering and architectural marvels that will bring Te Kaha to life.
As a passionate educator and construction professional, Emmolina emphasised the significance of such projects in inspiring future Quantity Surveyors and construction specialists. “Visiting sites like Te Kaha is a powerful way to connect the classroom with real-world innovation. I can’t wait to see this project completed and in use!”
