Waikato 50 water treatment plant

The $145m new water treatment plant by the Waikato River is providing an extra 50 million litres a day which marking a critical milestone in Auckland drought response.
The ‘Waikato 50’ plant has been designed and built in under a year and is one of the most sophisticated water treatment plants in the country. The new plant sits alongside Watercare’s existing plant near Tuakau.
